Go deeper with focused sessions

In this video, I talk about how intensive psychotherapy helps you create real progress fast. You will see how structured, back-to-back sessions bring depth, clarity, and lasting transformation.

What is intensive psychotherapy Copenhagen?

Intensive psychotherapy Copenhagen is for people with backbone. You already know yourself well. You have achieved more than most. But what used to work no longer does.

You have read the books. You have hired the coaches. You have done the programs. You can talk about your story with precision. Yet something keeps repeating. You can feel the next level of freedom and satisfaction just above you. Still, you have not broken through.

This work is not for comfort. It is for evolution. I will challenge you to meet what you have avoided, not because you are broken but because you are ready.

You and I will work in depth. You will see the truth of your patterns, not their story. You will learn what drives your emotions and how to redirect them. You will leave each intensive with clarity and action.

If you recognise yourself here, book a free 30-minute discovery call. We will see if you and I are on the same level for this kind of work.

Sessions can take place during weekdays, weekends, or holidays. Each intensive gives you full focus and continuity. You work several hours in one day or across a weekend and return to life lighter, clearer, and sharper.

An experienced psychotherapist offering psychotherapy and EFT couples therapy in Copenhagen

I am a certified psychotherapist (M.A.), the highest professional level recognised in both Denmark and England, and I work from my private practice in central Copenhagen as well as online.

For more than twenty years, I have worked with individuals, couples, and families across multiple countries and cultural contexts. My work integrates depth-oriented psychotherapy with a calm, grounded Danish presence.

Alongside my clinical practice, I have continued advanced training in couples therapy, supervision, and relational work. I am recently completed Master Class Further Training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT therapy) for couples.

The importance of supervision

Good therapy begins with good supervision

I regularly meet with experienced senior psychotherapists in Denmark and abroad to reflect on my work, challenge my thinking, and continue developing my skills. This ongoing process supports the quality of my individual, couples, and family therapy, helping me offer thoughtful, ethical, and effective care.

My focus is simple: excellence, integrity, and impact.

What you need to know about my services

In the sections below, I explain my services clearly and concretely.
You can read what I offer, how I work, and what to expect, so you can orient yourself, settle your nervous system, and decide from a calm and informed place whether this support is right for you.

Booking and payment for urgent therapy

You can book your session online or ask me to call you directly. Acute appointments are often available within a day or two.

You can pay by invoice, bank transfer, card, cash, or MobilePay. All sessions are prepaid. Psychotherapy is exempt from VAT, and prices are shown without VAT on my prices page.

If you cancel more than seven days before a session, there is no fee. Cancellations within seven days or no-shows are charged in full. This applies to both in-person and online sessions.

Voucher or clip cards can be refunded at any time. Any sessions already used are recalculated at the full listed price at the time of return. The remaining unused sessions are then refunded, minus a 20 per cent administration fee. You can always request a call or contact me if you need help arranging anything quickly.

When work becomes your addiction

  • Every task feels heavy
  • You lose interest in things that once gave meaning
  • Hope feels out of reach

In acute neurodiverse psychotherapy, I help you regulate first, then understand what your crisis reveals about your deeper needs for safety and belonging.

If you want to know whether my way of working fits you, book a free 30-minute discovery call. We will find out if our level of depth and pace align.

My trainings and qualifications

For more than twenty years, I have dedicated my career to the study and practice of psychotherapy, couples therapy, and personal development. My education reflects both depth and range, built through recognised schools in Denmark and England.

  • ID Life Coach training with Ole Vadum Dahl at the ID Academy, Denmark
  • ID Psychotherapy education at the ID Academy, Denmark
  • BA and MA in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy from the University of East London, completed with merit
  • Advanced training in Couples Therapy based on Humanistic principles, Re-Vision, London
  • Family Therapist training with the Human Education Group, Denmark
  • Training in Imago Therapy, London
  • Master class specialist training in Emotion Focused Therapy for Couples, EFT-C, with the EFT Institute, Copenhagen

Each of these studies has refined how I understand emotional growth, communication, and human connection. They continue to shape how I work with you in couples therapy Copenhagen today.

Over the years, I have also attended a wide range of professional lectures, seminars, and advanced workshops. These include continuing education in psychotherapy, couples therapy, neuropsychology, neuroscience, behavioural therapy, and the study of brain plasticity across Europe.

I maintain regular professional supervision, peer consultation, and ongoing training, both in person and online. These practices keep my work reflective, ethical, and accountable to the highest international standards.

Measurable outcomes and goals

In intensive psychotherapy, change is intentional and focused. You are not here to circle the same conversations, and I am not here simply to listen. We work with clarity and direction to create measurable shifts in your awareness, your performance, your relationships, and the way you lead yourself.

From our first meeting, we define clear and concrete objectives. You will know what you are working toward and how progress will be recognised. Each goal is specific, practical, and grounded in your lived experience.

  • Greater self-command under stress and pressure
  • Clarity in decision-making when the stakes are high
  • Stronger emotional regulation in complex relationships
  • Ability to stay connected and calm in conflict
  • Renewed creativity and direction in your professional or personal life
  • Reconnection to motivation, purpose, and meaning

You will notice progress in how you think, speak, and respond. You will see it in how you handle tension, how you relate to others, and how you recover after setbacks.
I measure success not by how much you know, but by how differently you live.

3 steps to rebuild trust, clarity, and connection

A guided process that reduces conflict, restores safety, and strengthens your relationship

Take the first step

Reach out and schedule your first couples therapy session. Even the decision to begin is a sign of commitment to your relationship.

Explore and understand

Together, we’ll uncover the patterns that keep you stuck, learn to communicate more openly, and start building new ways of connecting.

Grow and re-attach

Apply what you’ve learned inside and outside of sessions. Step by step, you’ll strengthen trust, intimacy, and partnership.

Booking, availability, and structure guarantee

You can schedule your intensive sessions during weekdays, weekends, or holidays.
I offer morning, afternoon, and evening availability to match the rhythm of your professional and personal life.
Each booking begins with a 30-minute discovery call. We use that time to confirm whether we are the right match and to outline what you want from the work.

If we agree to continue, you will receive a clear structure for your program — number of hours, session format, focus areas, and practical logistics.
Once confirmed, your time is fully reserved. There are no interruptions, no double bookings, and no distractions.
This is your space for full presence and depth.
I guarantee that every client who enters an intensive with me receives a clear plan for the following steps — both in the sessions and after they finish.

If you want to know whether my way of working fits you, book a free 30-minute discovery call. We will find out if our level of depth and pace align.

Intensive psychotherapy

Immediate, focused support when life feels overwhelming and you need help now

How your onboarding session works

The first meeting sets the tone for everything that follows. It is not small talk or a warm-up. It is where we establish direction, precision, and pace.
You tell me what you want to achieve and what has not worked so far. I listen for patterns, language, and hidden dynamics. Together we define what must change and what you are ready to do about it.
By the end of that session, you will know whether we are a good fit. You will know whether you want to work intensively with me. I will tell you clearly what I see and what I expect from you if we continue.
If we agree to move forward, you will receive a proposal for your intensive plan, including timing, focus areas, and practical structure.

A custom program for your development takes shape

Every intensive program is unique. There are no templates or fixed models. I design the process around your goals, emotional structure, and capacity for depth.
You and I will agree on the length and rhythm. Some programs unfold over a single weekend. Others stretch across several focused blocks of work. Every design includes continuity, review, and integration.
During the program, we work with insight, emotion, body awareness, and practical translation into your daily life. Each meeting builds on the last. You will know exactly where we are, what we are working on, and why.
You will also receive clear steps to follow between sessions so that the work continues in your real world — at home, in relationships, and at work.
This is how a high-level intensive takes shape: targeted, demanding, measurable, and designed to produce real internal movement.

What happens during intensive sessions?

An intensive is not about talking for hours. It is about precision. Each session goes straight to what drives your patterns and reactions.
We start by identifying what matters most. Together we focus on the themes that hold the most energy — the real edges of your development. You will not drift. You will work with intention.
I guide you through awareness of thought, emotion, and body response. When something important appears, we stay with it. You will learn to recognise the signals your system gives before it repeats an old pattern. You will practice responding differently — in real time, not in theory.
You will leave every session knowing what we uncovered, what shifted, and what to apply next. Each meeting builds momentum and depth. The work is clear, structured, and exact.
This is psychotherapy at a professional level. You come prepared. You work with focus. You leave with direction.

My approach as your psychotherapist?

My approach to psychotherapy in Copenhagen is structured, direct, and deeply human. I combine emotion-focused, depth-oriented, and evidence-based methods shaped by more than two decades of experience and continuous training.

Insight alone does not transform anyone. Real change happens in the meeting between therapist and client. I stay fully present with you and work with what happens between us in the moment. That space is where your patterns reveal themselves.

Over the years I have worked with people from many cultures and languages. It has taught me that growth has its own pace. Sometimes it begins with silence. Sometimes with resistance. Sometimes with laughter.
My aim is to meet you exactly where you are and stay with you until you can hold that awareness on your own. I work to help you integrate depth into daily life — not just insight, but lasting self-mastery.Working through the quiet sadness of feeling unseen or unheard. Reconnecting with yourself so that you can reach out without losing your footing.

How to qualify for intensives with Mark?

Intensive psychotherapy with me is not for everyone.

You need to be self-aware, emotionally stable, and ready to work. You need to handle challenge without defence. You must be willing to go all in for your own growth.

I work best with people who hold power and responsibility. People who lead, make decisions, and live with constant demands. If you come to me, you come to work with full presence. You come to face what keeps you circling just below the next level.

I do not offer these intensives to people seeking comfort or short relief. I offer them to people who want to change the way they live, think, and relate.

If you believe you meet that level of readiness, book a 30-minute discovery call. We will know quickly whether this work is for you.

Areas I work with

Over the past twenty years, I have worked with clients in Copenhagen and across the world who perform at the highest level — entrepreneurs, executives, athletes, and creatives. Each carries a deep drive for mastery and the silent cost that often comes with it.
Some arrive with clarity. Others come with exhaustion, frustration, or the sense that nothing feels good enough anymore. Wherever you stand, our work will bring direction, balance, and purpose back into your life.

Workplace and professional relationship themes

  • Leadership loneliness and isolation at the top
  • Difficulty trusting or delegating
  • Relational conflicts within teams or boards
  • Hidden competition or power struggles
  • Balancing empathy with authority
  • The personal cost of carrying responsibility for others
  • Losing authenticity under constant performance pressure

Leadership and existential challenges

  • Crossing from ambition to purpose — redefining why you lead
  • Facing the emptiness that success does not fill
  • Integrating vulnerability without losing authority
  • Recovering creativity and intuition after years of control
  • Reconnecting to values beyond profit or outcome
  • Preparing for succession, legacy, or life after peak performance

Emotional and personal themes

  • Constant pressure to perform and sustain control
  • Perfectionism and the inability to rest
  • Emotional exhaustion or burnout despite success
  • Fear of losing momentum or relevance
  • Shame or guilt linked to personal limits
  • Anger, frustration, or internal collapse under pressure
  • Grief, loss, or disconnection from meaning
  • Identity fatigue — success without satisfaction
  • Loneliness inside achievement
  • Fear of decline, ageing, or losing edge

Relationship and attachment themes

  • Emotional distance caused by ambition and focus
  • Breakdown of trust or intimacy after betrayal or secrecy
  • Struggles to open up or stay connected while performing at a high level
  • Boundaries that protect success but block closeness
  • Power imbalances within partnerships or marriages
  • Difficulty receiving care or being vulnerable
  • The partner who feels unseen while you lead or build
  • Rebuilding trust after years of neglect or overwork

Sexuality and addiction themes

  • Using achievement or sexual energy as escape from emptiness
  • Loss of desire or emotional connection despite physical intimacy
  • Pornography, alcohol, or compulsive behaviour as self-regulation
  • Shame or secrecy around sexual identity or preferences
  • Patterns of seduction, avoidance, or control that repeat in relationships
  • Addiction to stimulation, intensity, or success itself

In intensive psychotherapy, we approach these themes with honesty and respect. Each one is an entry point into deeper awareness and stronger self-leadership. My goal is not to diagnose or fix you. My role is to help you see clearly, act decisively, and reconnect to the power that drives your best work and your best life.
When you understand the forces that shape you, your choices become deliberate again. You stop reacting. You start creating. That is the point where true freedom begins.

Begin your next level of growth

This work is not for everyone.

It is for those who have already achieved much and now want depth to match their success. You may have built a career, a family, or a name. Yet you feel the next step will not come through more effort. It will come through awareness.

In intensive psychotherapy, we go straight to what matters. You bring your focus, discipline, and intelligence. I bring two decades of clinical experience and a deep respect for your process. Together we create a space where insight turns into direction and direction becomes change.
You do not need more advice or another mentor. You need a space where you can see yourself without distortion. That is what I offer.

I work with a limited number of clients each month to keep the focus high and the results personal. If you are ready to begin, reserve your place now.
Your next level of clarity starts here.

If you are ready for real work

Common issues I work with

Clear structure reduces pressure before the work even begins.

In intensive psychotherapy, I work with people who have reached a level of success most only imagine — yet still feel something essential missing. The same qualities that built your achievements — focus, control, discipline — can also become the barriers to peace, intimacy, and freedom.
Our work together exposes those patterns, not to weaken them but to help you use your strength differently.

When your inner world feels divided

  • You appear composed but feel restless or disconnected inside.
  • Success no longer brings satisfaction, only pressure to maintain it.
  • You question who you are beyond your roles and results.
  • You sense deeper meaning but can’t access it through logic or will.
  • The stillness you crave feels unreachable.

This is intrapsychic work — precise, grounded, and designed to help you lead yourself with the same clarity you bring to everything else.

Leadership and existential challenges

  • Intimacy feels like work while achievement feels natural.
  • You keep control instead of connection.
  • Trust has been eroded by secrecy, betrayal, or emotional distance.
  • You and your partner live parallel lives — functional, not alive.
  • The people closest to you feel you are present in body but absent in heart.

Here, the goal is not to fix relationships but to rebuild capacity for real contact — where love and power can coexist.

When professional relationships turn rigid or cold

  • You lead with competence but feel unseen or unsupported.
  • Collaboration feels like compromise.
  • Delegation feels unsafe.
  • People follow you but few really know you.
  • You question whether leadership must always feel lonely.

Together, we examine how your success structure shapes your emotional life — and how to lead with both authority and authenticity.

When work becomes your addiction

  • You function at full speed and crash in silence.
  • Achievement replaces intimacy.
  • You use productivity to avoid feeling.
  • Even rest feels guilty or dangerous.
  • You have no language for pleasure that is not earned.
  • Difficulty receiving care or being vulnerable.

This work helps you reconnect to your body, your rhythm, and the simple capacity to be without performing.

When family systems repeat power and distance

  • Unspoken hierarchies shape your marriage and home.
  • One partner leads, the other compensates.
  • Affairs, secrecy, or withdrawal create quiet fractures.
  • Emotional distance has become normal.
  • Your children feel the tension but no one names it.

Here, therapy creates a structured space for truth, repair, and new patterns of respect and leadership at home. In intensive psychotherapy, each of these themes becomes an opening into deeper self-mastery.

The goal is not to diagnose or soften you. It is to help you meet yourself completely — and lead from a place of inner clarity that no success or failure can shake.

Structure, safety, and commitment

Intensive psychotherapy is grounded in confidentiality, professional ethics, and clear expectations. It is a structured process designed to support growth — whether you are navigating crisis, seeking refinement, or ready to move into a new phase of life. Below you will find how the work is held, how change unfolds, and what you can expect from our collaboration.

Confidentiality and professional ethics

Everything we discuss stays confidential. Your privacy, data, and identity are protected by Danish and international psychotherapy standards.

You can expect complete discretion, honesty, and professional integrity.
Sessions are never recorded, shared, or discussed outside supervision, which takes place under strict confidentiality with senior practitioners.
You are free to speak openly about any subject, knowing it will remain private.

A crisis can also be an opportunity for growth

The hardest moments in life often bring the most potential for change. A crisis removes distractions and shows what is real. When you stop avoiding what hurts and face it directly, something powerful starts to shift.
In intensive psychotherapy, we use that energy to build clarity and strength. You learn to listen to your emotions instead of being ruled by them. Pain becomes useful information. It stops controlling your choices.
When you face what feels difficult with awareness, you become stronger and more steady. Real growth begins when you meet life as it is and stay present in it.

Can I only start your intensive therapy Copeanhagen if I have a problem?

You do not need to be in crisis to start this work. You only need a wish to grow and evolve. Many clients come not because something is broken but because they are ready to move to a new level. They want more clarity, more balance, and more purpose.
This process is not about fixing yourself. It is about refinement and awareness. It is about learning to live from your deeper intelligence instead of from old habits.
Growth is not about comfort. It is about precision. Over time, you begin to act in alignment with who you truly are.

How quickly does intensive therapy take hold?

Change begins when you bring full honesty into the room. Many people notice relief after the first session because they no longer have to carry everything alone.
Progress depends on consistency and readiness. You get from this process what you bring to it.
I offer structured intensive formats that help you reach visible progress within weeks. When you commit to the work, results follow as a natural consequence.

How do you find a good psychotherapist in Copenhagen

The most important factor is fit. Technique helps, but trust transforms.
You need a therapist who can meet you with clarity and care. You need someone who can see beyond performance without judging it.
That is why I offer a free 30-minute discovery call and a full money-back guarantee on the first session. You will know if I am the right therapist for you. If not, you pay nothing.
When the connection feels right, therapy becomes one of the most valuable investments you can make in yourself.

Getting the most out of therapy

Bring your real self into the room. That is where transformation begins.
I require that you are 100% honest about what is real right now.
The biggest changes happen when you stay engaged on the hard days. When you want to cancel but show up anyway, that is where you grow.
Use this space to practice how you want to live. The more present and truthful you are here, the faster change takes root in your life.

When you need practical clarity in intensive psychotherapy

When you are entering an intensive process, uncertainty around practical details can create unnecessary tension. This section explains how booking, payment, cancellation, contact, and confidentiality work, so you know exactly what to expect. My aim is to remove friction and provide a clear framework that allows you to focus fully on insight, stability, and meaningful change.

What you do between sessions

Real progress happens between sessions. Awareness grows in daily life, in how you speak, lead, rest, and relate to others.
You will receive practical tools that support integration. These include journaling prompts, reflection exercises, and body awareness practices. Everything is designed for your specific goals.
Between sessions, you practice and observe. You make small choices with awareness. Each step reinforces new habits and insights. That is how understanding becomes lasting change.

What happens if I have to cancel a session?

Life changes. Work shifts. Travel appears. I understand that.
If you need to move a session, a short message is enough. We will reschedule.
Cancellations made more than seven days before a session are free of charge. Within seven days, the full session fee applies. This ensures fairness and keeps the work consistent.
Voucher and clip cards can be refunded anytime. Used sessions are recalculated at the single-session rate with a 20 percent administration fee.
Clear communication keeps everything simple and transparent.

Contact between sessions

Therapy continues between sessions.
You are welcome to reach out when you need clarity or support. I offer structured WhatsApp contact for short check-ins. I call these lifelines.
You can send a message, a voice note, or request a short call. These moments are not full therapy sessions. They are quick touchpoints that help you stay steady when life feels intense.
If I am awake and available, I will respond. This keeps you supported without breaking ethical boundaries.

Online sessions

Many of my clients travel often or live abroad. Online sessions keep your therapy steady and connected wherever you are.
We can meet on Zoom, Google Meet, WhatsApp, or by phone. You can join from your home, office, or a quiet space while travelling. As long as there is privacy and connection, the work stays deep and personal.
Online therapy gives you full flexibility with no loss of quality. Presence and honesty matter more than location.
Your process continues wherever life takes you.

A supportive approach to therapy

A calm, balanced therapeutic space where both partners feel heard, understood, and guided toward clearer communication, renewed trust, and a stronger emotional connection.

Feeling safe and understood

Imagine walking into a room with your partner, unsure if therapy will really help. You might feel nervous, hesitant, or even skeptical. A good couples therapist is the one who immediately helps you feel safe and welcomed, someone who listens to both of you without judgment.

They notice the small details – how you talk to each other, what’s left unsaid, and the emotions behind your words. They guide conversations gently, helping you uncover patterns that have been keeping you stuck, while giving you practical tools to communicate better and rebuild trust.

Guided growth and connection

They guide conversations gently, helping you uncover patterns that have been keeping you stuck, while giving you practical tools to communicate better and rebuild trust. You know you’ve found the right therapist when you leave a session feeling understood, even if the work feels challenging. You feel that both your voice and your partner’s voice matter, and that the therapist is guiding you as a team rather than taking sides. Ultimately, it’s the sense of safety, clarity, and support you feel during and after sessions that shows you’re in the right place. Therapy becomes a shared journey, helping you and your partner grow closer, reconnect, and strengthen your relationship.

How intensive psychotherapy helps you create real change

Intensive psychotherapy is not about repair. It is about refinement. You already know how to perform, lead, and adapt. Here, you learn to see what drives those patterns and how to redirect them with precision. This work helps you become conscious of what truly shapes your choices, reactions, and relationships. When you see it clearly, you stop repeating what drains you and start creating from a deeper centre.
Here are some of the ways intensive psychotherapy in Copenhagen helps you evolve:

Workplace and professional relationship themes

You stop chasing what no longer fits and start aligning your actions with your real purpose.

See how old identities still drive your present

You uncover the traces of family, culture, and success conditioning that still define how you lead and relate.

Reclaim ownership of your decisions

You learn to act from inner authority instead of guilt, habit, or the expectations of others.

Find clarity in complexity

You learn to work with your mind, not against it. You build tools for emotional regulation and mental focus under pressure.

Strengthen the connection between body, emotion, and thought

You learn to recognise early signals of pressure or burnout and re-establish calm before the system breaks.

Stay connected when intensity rises

You practice staying grounded and relational even when life, work, or emotion demands more than you think you can give.
Each of these steps expands your awareness and control. Over time, you begin to lead yourself with the same precision you apply to your work — clear, centred, and effective.

Intensive psychotherapy alone for expats, relocation, and life transitions

This section explores how intensive psychotherapy supports you through relocation, cultural difference, distance, and major life transitions — whether you are living in Denmark, navigating life between cultures, working across borders, or making decisions that affect your family, identity, and future.

16 personalities of Jung and Myers-Briggs

If you wish, we will include a structured personality assessment based on the Jungian and Myers-Briggs models.
The goal is not to label you but to create a clear mirror of how your mind, emotions, and instincts work together.
You will learn your dominant functions — how you perceive reality, make decisions, and maintain control — and which functions stay underdeveloped or unconscious. We will explore how these patterns shape your leadership, relationships, and emotional life.
This analysis is not theoretical. It is practical. We use it to identify where you already excel and where your next growth edge lies. Whether you are an INTJ who overanalyzes or an ENFJ who overextends, you will see exactly how to bring balance, creativity, and resilience into your system.
Understanding your personality type gives you a precise map for developing the next leading edge in your life — personally, professionally, and relationally.

A custom intensive designed for your life

Every person I work with is unique, and your therapy should be as well. When you begin intensive psychotherapy with me, we create a custom plan that matches your goals, your capacity, and your schedule.
Some clients choose a concentrated weekend format. Others prefer back-to-back sessions across several days. Together we build a structure that fits your life while allowing real depth.
This format gives our work clear direction. You stay focused. You see measurable progress. The process has enough intensity to bring deep material to the surface without losing control or clarity.
In my experience, the best results come when depth meets structure. A clear plan keeps the work efficient and grounded. Every minute counts. You know where you stand and what you are working toward.
The result is a process built around you — flexible, private, and demanding enough to reach the real causes behind what holds you back. You gain traction, not theory.

Practice and integration

Insight alone does not change you. Practice does.
Between sessions you begin to test what we uncover in real life — in conversations, decisions, and moments of pressure.
During intensives, we explore your patterns in action. You learn to stay aware when stress or emotion rises. You practice new responses instead of repeating old ones.
My role is to give you direct feedback and precise guidance as you apply what you learn. The goal is not perfection. The goal is real presence and self-command.
You integrate between sessions by acting differently in the moments that matter. Sometimes this means pausing before reacting. Sometimes it means speaking clearly instead of holding back. Each time you practice, the new pattern grows stronger.
Over time, the work becomes who you are — clear, steady, and self-directed. You no longer think about awareness. You live it.

Who benefits from intensive psychotherapy

Intensive psychotherapy is for people who have already done a lot of work on themselves but know there is more to uncover. It suits those who want a direct, professional process that respects their time and intelligence.
You may be at a turning point — successful yet restless, aware yet not free. You may sense that the tools that once helped you are no longer enough. You want a process that matches your level of focus and commitment.
If that describes you, you will benefit from this format. You will not be analysed or managed. You will be met as an equal. Together we identify what limits your growth and create the space for transformation.
In twenty years of practice, I have seen that awareness itself can be the breakthrough. When awareness becomes embodied, it changes everything. It brings clarity, strength, and direction — the qualities that define lasting change.

My approach and values

My vision is to create a world where every person in my therapy room feels supported, connected, and empowered to grow, and to step one step closer to your Self.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers to help you decide whether therapy is right for you.

How is intensive psychotherapy different from standard therapy?

Intensive psychotherapy gives you depth and continuity. You work for several hours in one day or across a weekend instead of meeting once a week. The pace builds momentum. You stay inside the process long enough to reach what is normally missed when sessions are spread out.
This format fits people who want results and structure. It allows us to go deeper without breaking focus. You get a clear beginning, middle, and end to each block of work.
Between sessions, you integrate what we uncover through targeted reflection and practice. This structure supports faster, more sustainable change. It also respects your time and capacity.
If you value intensity, precision, and clear results, this format gives you exactly that. It is psychotherapy for people who want transformation, not maintenance.

Can I combine therapy with my executive or creative work schedule?

Yes. Many of my clients are business leaders, founders, or artists with demanding calendars. You can schedule intensives on weekends, evenings, or holidays. You decide the rhythm that fits your life.
Because we work in concentrated blocks, you do not lose continuity when your schedule changes. You can travel, lead, or perform and still keep your process alive.
I work discreetly, with respect for your privacy and professional world. Sessions are structured around your capacity for focus, not around fixed clinic hours.
This way, therapy becomes part of your performance system. It strengthens clarity, energy, and emotional range instead of competing with your commitments.

What results can I expect after a weekend intensive?

Most clients leave an intensive with three outcomes: insight, direction, and strategy. Insight gives you clarity about what drives your patterns. Direction shows you what to focus on next. Strategy gives you a practical way to apply what you have learned.

You can expect to feel more grounded and more connected to what truly matters. You will understand how your emotions, thoughts, and actions interlink. You will see exactly where you gain or lose power in daily life.
Change continues after the weekend. You integrate the insights through specific actions we define together. The goal is not a temporary high but a lasting shift in how you operate.

How do you measure progress in this kind of deep work?

Progress is measured through clear behavioural and emotional indicators. You will see change in how you react, decide, and connect. You will feel it in your body and notice it in your relationships.
At the start, we define what success means for you. It may be emotional regulation, better communication, or sharper self-awareness. Each session moves toward that target.
I track development through short reviews, reflections, and practical milestones. You will always know what we are working on and why.
Progress is visible when you start acting with more calm and precision in situations that once triggered you. That is how we measure success — not in words, but in lived experience.

What happens in the first acute therapy session?

The first session is about calm and structure. You tell me what has happened and what feels hardest right now. I help you ground through breathing and simple techniques so your system can slow down.
Together we look at what triggered the crisis and what is keeping it active. You leave the session with a clear plan, specific exercises, and things to avoid for the next few days. I also make sure you have support between sessions if needed.
Even one session can make a difference. You begin to feel that you are not alone, that there is safety and direction again. That is where recovery starts.

Is this therapy goal driven or exploratory?

It is both. We begin with a clear goal, but we stay open to what unfolds. The mind may think one thing needs to change, while the deeper process points to another.
You will always know our direction, yet the work remains responsive. This balance keeps therapy grounded but alive.
For high performers, this mix is essential. You get the structure you need while still accessing the deeper, intuitive parts of yourself that cannot be forced or planned.
Exploration without focus can drift. Goals without openness can become rigid. Intensive psychotherapy combines both, so growth stays authentic and measurable.

Can I focus on a single topic, such as burnout or leadership stress?

Yes. Many clients enter with a specific theme. Burnout, loss of drive, emotional exhaustion, or leadership pressure are all valid starting points.
We begin with the immediate concern and then uncover the deeper forces behind it. For example, burnout may point to perfectionism or emotional overcontrol. Leadership stress may reveal conflict between ambition and vulnerability.
Working in an intensive format allows us to explore the surface and the depth in one flow. You leave with practical strategies that fit your personal and professional life.
This is therapy built for clarity, not complexity.

What if I feel nervous about starting therapy?

Feeling nervous before starting urgent psychotherapy Copenhagen is completely normal. Most people arrive tense, unsure what to say, or afraid of breaking down. That is why we start gently. You do not need to prepare or perform. You just need to show up.
In our first meeting, I guide the pace so your body and mind can settle. You will notice that the focus is on calm and safety, not on judgment or analysis. Once your system begins to relax, clarity comes on its own.
The courage to start is already part of your healing. After the first session, most clients say they feel lighter and more in control. You do not have to be ready for therapy. Therapy helps you become ready to face what is happening and to regain balance again.

I have already done years of self development. What makes this different?

Many of my clients are seasoned in self-work. They have done coaching, workshops, and reading. Yet something still feels unfinished. Insight alone has reached its limit.
Intensive psychotherapy takes you beyond understanding. It works directly with how your emotions, body, and mind interact. You see not just what happens, but how it happens inside you.
We work in real time, observing patterns as they appear in the moment. You experience the shift rather than talk about it.
If you have done years of personal work and still sense a ceiling, this process helps you break through it. It brings together everything you have learned and moves it from theory into lived awareness.

Do you work with high functioning clients who are not in crisis?

Yes. Most of my clients are not in crisis. They are functioning, successful, and aware. They come because they want growth that matches their ambition.
You may feel calm on the outside but restless inside. You may want to refine how you lead, love, or make decisions. You may simply be ready for the next stage of development.
This process is for people who do not settle for repetition. It meets you where you are and challenges you to expand.

More frequently asked questions

Can I bring in work related or leadership challenges as part of therapy?

Yes. Professional themes often mirror personal ones. How you lead others often reflects how you lead yourself.
You can bring real work issues into the sessions. We can analyse patterns in communication, decision making, conflict, and team dynamics. You will see how your inner world shapes your external leadership style.
This work helps you integrate emotional intelligence into high-level performance. You stay effective without losing connection or empathy.

How private is this process?

Completely private. Everything we discuss stays between us. I follow the strict ethical standards of the Danish and British psychotherapy associations.
I never share names, stories, or notes with any third party. Sessions are not recorded. Supervision, when it happens, is anonymous and confidential.
For public figures or executives, additional agreements can be made to protect privacy. You can trust that your professional reputation remains safe while you do this work.

What if I prefer to stay analytical and not emotional?

That is fine. Many high performers begin from analysis. It is how they stay in control. We start there and build trust.
Over time, you will see that emotion is not weakness. It is data. When used correctly, it improves judgement and presence.
We work at a pace that fits you. There is no pressure to be emotional. The process itself brings balance between thought and feeling.
You keep your intellect, but it stops running the show.

Can we work in English even if I live in Denmark?

Yes. I am bilingual and work fluently in both English and Danish. Many clients are international professionals or expats who prefer to express complex emotions in English.
The language we use is the one that feels most natural to you. You can switch between them if needed.
What matters is not grammar but connection. The work reaches beyond language to understanding, awareness, and growth.

How do I know if I am ready for intensive therapy?

You are ready when awareness is no longer enough. You have insight, but you want movement. You feel capable and stable, but you sense that something deeper needs attention.
If you are willing to look honestly at yourself and stay present through discomfort, you are ready.
This process is demanding but rewarding. It requires your full engagement. If you bring that, it will meet you with equal depth and structure.

Do you offer confidentiality agreements for public figures or executives?

Yes. When needed, I can prepare a confidentiality agreement that outlines additional privacy measures beyond standard ethics.

This may include non-disclosure language, secure communication channels, and private scheduling.

Public figures and corporate leaders often require an extra layer of discretion. I accommodate that fully while maintaining professional transparency and integrity.
Your privacy is absolute.

Can I book consecutive full day or weekend programs?

Each day includes clear breaks, reflection, and integration. You will not feel rushed or overloaded.
Each day includes clear breaks, reflection, and integration. You will not feel rushed or overloaded.
This format suits people who prefer to go all in and complete major inner work in a shorter period. It is private, structured, and highly effective.

What is your professional background and how do you maintain excellence?

I hold an MA with Merit in Psychotherapy and advanced training in Emotion Focused Therapy for Couples. My practice is approved by both Danish and UK professional associations.
Each day includes clear breaks, reflection, and integration. You will not feel rushed or overloaded.
I continue to train, study, and receive supervision with senior clinicians each year. My standard is constant improvement.

What happens if we realise this is not a fit after the first session?

Then we stop. There is no pressure to continue. The first session is an honest meeting, not a sales pitch.
In our first meeting, I guide the pace so your body and mind can settle. You will notice that the focus is on calm and safety, not on judgment or analysis. Once your system begins to relax, clarity comes on its own.

Therapy only works when both sides feel aligned. Fit matters more than commitment.

What if I travel often or live between cities?

We design your program for flexibility. You can hold continuity through video, voice, or written reflection between intensives. We design your program for flexibility. You can hold continuity through video, voice, or written reflection between intensives. The goal is consistency. Location does not limit progress. The work travels with you.

Is this work compatible with coaching or other performance programs?

Therapy works at the root — the inner world that drives behaviour. Coaching builds strategy and action. Together they create powerful alignment.
If you already work with a coach, I will help you integrate the two processes smoothly.
If you already work with a coach, I will help you integrate the two processes smoothly.

How can I prepare before the first session to get the most value from it?

Arrive clear about what you want. Think about what you have tried, what worked, and what has not. Bring honesty, not performance.
Write a few notes if it helps. Include the situations that keep repeating and what you want to understand about them.
During the session, stay present. Listen to yourself. You will not be judged or analysed. You will be met directly and professionally.
Preparation is simple: come ready to work and ready to tell the truth. That is enough.
